ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a Virginia man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for distributing cocaine.
Courtroom paperwork say that 36-yr-previous Aidriss Saydi was a outstanding drug vendor in Northern Virginia for the previous decade and paid lots of of hundreds of dollars to have narcotics shipped to him. Courtroom documents from late 2018 say Saydi pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute medicine and to brandishing a firearm in reference to drug trafficking.
Prosecutors allege that he made a co-conspirator cover almost a kilogram of cocaine in 2018 and later beat him after authorities discovered the medicine as a result of he believed the co-conspirator had stolen from him.
Authorities say that Saydi has forfeited $1 million and a number of automobiles.
An lawyer for Saydi didn’t instantly respond to an e-mail in search of remark Friday.
