US intelligence concerned about enemies joining forces

For decades, the U.S. has been a target for hostile overseas intelligence businesses in Russia and China. However now, officers are concerned that these adversaries are becoming a member of forces to chip away at American international dominance.

WASHINGTON — For many years, the U.S. has been the primary goal of hostile overseas intelligence businesses and army activities originating from Russia, China and quite a few other nation-state adversaries.

But now, U.S. intelligence officers are involved that those adversaries — in a bid to chip away at American international dominance — are joining forces to focus on the U.S.

Director of the Workplace Nationwide Intelligence (ODNI) Dan Coates advised the workforce on Jan. 22, as he released the National Intelligence Strategy (NIS), that the nation faces “probably the most numerous and sophisticated set of threats that we now have ever seen.”
