RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — A pilot has died after a small aircraft crashed into the yard of a Southern California home.

A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration stated the twin-engine Beechcraft BE50 crashed in Riverside shortly earlier than midday Saturday after the pilot reported engine points.

Riverside Hearth Capt. Brian Guzzetta informed the Press-Enterprise no one on the bottom was injured and particles from the aircraft brought about minor injury to nearby houses.

Guzzetta stated the aircraft caught on hearth, and the flames didn’t spread to the house.

FAA spokesman Ian Gregor stated the aircraft was flying to the city of Apple Valley from Chino, situated east of Los Angeles.

The National Transportation and Security Board will examine the reason for the crash.
