Motorcycle officer struck while escorting funeral service in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE – A police officer was apparently concerned in a crash whereas escorting a funeral service in Baton Rouge late Thursday morning.

The crash was reported shortly earlier than midday near the intersection of Florida Boulevard and Cora Drive. In accordance with the Baton Rouge Police Division, the officer was struck at the intersection by a car turning off Florida Boulevard.

BRPD stated the officer’s accidents seemed to be non-life-threatening.

It’s unclear presently if anyone can be cited within the crash.

Final month, another motorbike officer was struck and killed while escorting a funeral procession on Jones Creek Street.
