BATON ROUGE – Officers cleared out the nineteenth Judicial District Courthouse resulting from an electrical problem brought on by a water leak Wednesday morning.
The incident was reported just after 10 a.m. Wednesday. In response to the Advocate, courthouse staff have been informed the leak triggered certain methods within the building to fail, together with elevators, access cards, and metallic detectors.
Crews are working to repair the issue.
The courtroom is predicted to reopen Thursday.
