WASHINGTON (AP) — Prime leaders in Congress might be receiving a categorized briefing on the Center East as lawmakers demand answers from the White House about President Donald Trump’s actions toward Iran.

Multiple sources stated Wednesday that the highest House and Senate leaders of both events can be briefed by the administration. The sources weren’t approved to discuss the matter and have been granted anonymity.

Thursday’s planned briefing comes amid rising tensions within the Persian Gulf area over nonetheless unspecified threats the Trump administration says are linked to Iran.

The U.S. on Wednesday ordered all nonessential government employees to go away Iraq. The U.S. earlier moved an aircraft service and other assets towards the region.

Home Democrats raised considerations concerning the state of affairs at a closed assembly Wednesday and stated they need answers.
